I'm making this site because when Midway re-releases one of the best Mortal Kombats ever, MKII, on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 I want it to be a somewhat improved game from the arcade version.
Here's some examples of what I would like to see end up in the MAT2 version of MK2, in order to make this the best version ever:
Shang Tsung's "laughing" pose, used as his victory pose in the Saturn version of MKII
Haha, you can't tell who I'm picking because I turned on Stealth Select! This was a real code in MK3 SNES, BTW. Undocumented in most FAQs, but just move the D-Pad in a circle in the character select screen, and it will activate Stealth Select.
Provided it's not too much legal trouble with Acclaim... you could probably fit the MKII commercial on here somehow, right, Midway?
Since everyone's read the MK1 comic, by getting it through MKDA's Krypt... Where better to hide the MK2 comic, than the upcoming Midway Arcade Treasures 2?
We know Goro's Lair is in the game... but only for fighting the hidden characters. Maybe there could be a way to play there for the 2 player versus matches, perhaps with some code or option.
Alternate costumes - they're already in the game, but you can only use them when 2 characters pick the same player. How about if this gets changed, so that you can access their other outfit the same way you do in MK4 - hold start, and press a button over that character to get to their alt!
Multi-tiered stages - they're in MK3 already, so they can't be hard to put in. This example here, from the Armory to the Kombat Tomb, is already in MK Trilogy as an N64-exclusive feature. This fits perfectly with the MKII atmosphere.
We now know that some characters, like Reptile, are supposed to have green blood, not red like MKII had. Why not give it to him?
This 4 on 4 Kombat mode was exclusive to the SNES version of MKII. Should it stay as an SNES exclusive, all these years later?
Pong's cool, but can we get rid of that 250 win streak necessary to play it? I say, put in a code/cheat similar to the one that's in MK3 for some consoles, that lets you play Galaga - right from the main screen.
A special joystick just for playing MK. That would be awesome! Namco did it for the Tekken series. This would be really cool if they made a special Mortal Kombat arcade-style joystick.
