Blue Bar

Normally, I wouldn't post here just to brag, but I was so excited I just couldn't keep the news to myself.  Konquest of the Kamidogu 5 received a blue bar on Newgrounds yesterday, which means "Awesome Score".  Pretty darn exciting – and I have you, the MK fan, to thank for it.

Thanks to all you Konquest of the Kamidogu fans out there who voted 5!

Konquest of the Kamidogu (Episode V)

Yay, new Konquest of the Kamidogu:

This one would have been pretty short, but we did some tricks (like adding flashbacks to get you caught up on old episodes, and adding great special features)!  Thanks to Bezou for his hard work on helping me with this series.  Go watch now!

More Comics

Here's today's batch of comics:
Also, by pure coincidence, 2 people independently developed the idea of "comic wallpapers".  You can set them as your desktop background, and also, they're Mortal Kombat sprite comics.  Check 'em out:

Enjoy, Pavilion fans!

Kahn's Tower

Heh, normally I wouldn't update with just one animation, but this one's so cool it really warrants an update all by itself.

This update made possible by returning animator VultyreX - thanks for the original idea for an ani!

MK on Robot Chicken

Cartoon Network's Robot Chicken (part of their Adult Swim) had a parody of Mortal Kombat yesterday!  Enjoy the screen caps and video clips:

Enjoy, guys!  Thanks to MK Online forum member Redexquisite for the information on this update!

MK, Nintendo Songs Go Acapella

Well, this is kind of a strange update for this site, but here goes.  This video has been floating around for 2 years, but inexplicably became famous in the last couple days (because sites like Slashdot and eBaum's World have updated about it).  And so it made it's way here!

What it is, is a group of people singing famous Nintendo tunes a capella and acting them out simultaneously.  There's a good reason this video became famous, it's hilarious.  Enjoy:

New Comics

A couple more, I don't usually say who my personal favorite is but I will this time.  I love them all but especially read Tweak's comics:
Happy reading!

New Site Intro(s)

Alright, now the site loads a random intro from the main page.  I'd like to thank both Sub-Zedox and Torchia for their hard work on the intros, as well as Agilo for his help with the PHP script (which is what makes it possible to load up a random Flash intro)!  Thanks guys, your help is appreciated by me and all the visitors to the Kombat Pavilion.

Update: Further thanks go to fellow MKO staff member DArqueBishop for helping out with some behind-the-scenes technical stuff (if you must know, like editing the VirtualHost entry in the httpd.conf file and restarting Apache to ensure everything works properly).  Thanks again!

New Animations

Alright, another four of these GIF and Flash animations!  Hooray!

Awesome stuff!  I'd like to thank the newcomer, Marito, for his unique parody of Reptile's MK4 ending!  And also, we've got some content from Bezou and Ultimate Ryu - you know their stuff is always great.  So check it out!

MK Sprite Comics (Tons)

This is really a kick ass day for updates.  A comic author named Tweak stumbled upon this site and showed me his series, all about Scorpion - and it's hilarious!  For this reason, there's just a ton of comics on today's update.  Check out his entire series, as don't forget to check out the other comics here as well:
Definitely check 'em all out!

Raiden Animations

Today we have 3 animations, each of them involving Raiden!  Now how's that for a coincidence?

Each animation is truly amazing in its own right - you've got to check them all out!  I made one of them myself, the other two are by returning animator VultyreX and new animator DiceP (who, frankly, schools both of us).  Enjoy, Pavilion fans!

Sub-Zero and Reptile

Awesome!  Another MK game made with RPG Maker!  Check out Sub-Zero and Reptile's Adventure by Jimbo Limbo.  Another game proudly hosted here at the author's request.  This one's 14 MB.

WeaponLord's Animations

Three animations, all of them from WeaponLord!

Awesome stuff, as always - enjoy, everyone!

Original Comics

This is great day for comics.  A lot of originality here, including a series of hand-drawn comics where Ed Boon interviews his own creations (the MK characters), as well as a serious series that shows what might have happened to Earth if Liu Kang had lost to Goro in Mortal Kombat.  Great stuff!  Here you go:We at the Kombat Pavilion recommend reaching each and every one of these.

We're Back

Well, really, the site was never down in the first place.  If you were here yesterday, you basically saw a message saying the site was taken down forever.  But if you waited a few seconds, you'd get taken to the main page where it was revealed the whole thing was just an April Fool's joke :P  The site's still here, and also, did you notice that the sites I linked to yesterday have all been dead for years?

If you missed it, you can check out the April Fool's page here.

April Fool's!

Haha, I bet you thought this site was down forever – But it was an April Fool's Day joke!  You probably were so upset that you even forgot it was April 1st.  Hahaha, you should have seen the look on your face!  That was a classic!
