What's the Deal with Chameleon?

There's not a whole lot of information about Chameleon, so I put together a video showcasing everything there is to know about him:

For this, I busted out copies of MK Trilogy and Armageddon (the only two games where he officially appeared) as well as Ultimate MK3, where he is accessible via a cheat device such as Pro Action Replay. There's not really much else to go by since he's never appeared in any other media (comics, books, movies, TV shows, books, etc.).

There's also a word in here from John Tobias, courtesy of an email exchange between him the MK Encyclopedia team! So thanks for watching, and see you at the next update!

The Chicago Mortal Kombat Tour

I'm a little late sharing this, but this is a must-see! A while back, I came up with the idea of doing a tour around Chicago and visiting all the places that are important to Mortal Kombat. It turns out that Total MK (Luke) had the same idea, and so a number of us hardcore MK fans went around the town doing exactly this - including MK Universe (MK Dan), Team RipSet (Ryan), Fraysol (Fred), Aaron, Jasper, and Nashman Aguilar (one of the artists working on the Kombatpedia project)! So check out the 2-part series here:

Some of the places we visit include:
  • Fantasy Costumes (where all the costumes for MK1/MKII/MK3 were purchased)
  • The publishing house that did the MK1/MKII comic book
  • The KFC where Boon came up with Reptile
  • NetherRealm Studios headquarters
  • The old Midway building
  • Chinatown - the scene of the Courtyard!
  • Times Square Arcade (what's left of it)
  • A forest that was actually the scene of The Living Forest
  • Diversions Arcade (again, what's left of it)
  • The Bridge/The Street
  • The Waterfront

This was an amazing thing to be able to do and it was very exciting to be a part of it. Thanks again to Total MK for editing this together. See you at the next update, Pavilion fans!
